A jail officer has been handled in hospital after having his throat minimize by a prisoner.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning at HMP Nottingham, the Ministry of Justice mentioned.
The male officer has since been launched from hospital.
HMP Nottingham is a class B male jail which expanded in 2010 to carry 1,060 prisoners.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed the male jail officer was handled and launched from hospital after the incident at 10am this morning at HMP Nottingham (pictured)
